These are manufactured to exacting ATSM B338 standards, which means they meet purity requirements for applications across numerous industries. Available with outer diameters between ½” and 2”, our welded titanium tubes also come in Grade 2 and Grade 9 materials and various wall thicknesses to match specific requirements.

Unlike seamless tubes, which are extruded from solid pieces of titanium, these welded tubes are formed using a less-intensive process. Individual sheets of titanium are rolled and bent into half-pipes that are then welded together using tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding processes. Using TIG welding means no filler metal is needed to create the joints, which results in a homogenous weld that is less likely to fail under pressure. The resulting tubes are then cut to length.
Although titanium welded tubes are typically less durable than seamless titanium pipe due to their seams, there are many reasons why they are a popular choice for various applications. Not only do they tend to be less expensive, but they also are available in larger diameters than seamless tubes.
